So what’s all the fuss about some GOP Congressman jumping stark naked into the Sea of Galilee? Far better to have no clothes on, than to have no scruples about raising taxes on those who have little more than the clothes on their back.
You have to wonder why Joe Public has bought into the myth about rich people being “job creators”, a crafty but inaccurate GOP reframing of the meaning of “rich” to justify cutting their taxes and raising yours. George Bush cut taxes for the, ah, “job creators”, and look where that got us: at the end of his term he was losing half a million jobs per month. Wake up, Joe Public, Joe the Plumber, Joe Schmoe, and the rest of you GOP Joes out there: you are being had.
The Bush-baby created half as many jobs per month (around 20,000) over his term, as Obama has done so far. Read the numbers, ye Republicans, and weep! Supply side economics doesn’t work! Can’t you come up with something that does?
But then again, Republicans don’t believe in Global Warming either. Where’s the evidence, they cry? Maybe they should apply that standard to GOD, whom the world’s most preeminent physicist says is not needed to explain the existence of the universe.
